Lessons from Joel 2:25-27

  1. Restoration is one of God's greatest covenant blessings.
  2. No matter what has been lost through ignorance, sin, delay, demonic attacks, wrong decisions, family backgrounds or wasted opportunities, God has the ability to restore

Many have lost time, opportunities, destiny helpers, focus, spiritual fire, confidence to God, vision, relationships, years through mistakes.

  1. God is a God of restoration.

Restoration is bringing back something to its original purpose, beauty and value

Examples of people who experienced restoration in the Bible

  1. Job (Job 42:10)

  2. Joseph (Gen. 41:39-44)

  3. Naomi (Ruth 4:14-17)

  4. David (1 Sam. 30:16-20)

Destroyers of time and opportunities

  1. Laziness

  2. Wrong friendship

  3. Addictions

  4. Carelessness

  5. Wrong attitude

Keys for restoration

  1. Genuine repentance - Returning to God; turning back to Him.

If God is to restore us, we must return back to Him.

Restoration begins where repentance stops.

2. Prayer and warfare (1 Sam. 30:8)

3. Before total recovery, there must be spiritual engagement.

4. Faith (Mark 9:23) connects us to total restoration.

5. Obedience—every restoration miracle follows obedience to God.

You must know the purpose of that recovery. God restores people so they fulfill destiny.
